Main Coon cat-combings, carded with 10-20% merino wool for stability, and made into rolags.



Spun singles, 2-ply yarn, washed and hung to set the twist, in skeins.

Kazuko Sheridan from Printmaking was once told you could spin cat fluff, so she collected the combings from her dear Eric the Red for ten years until he passed away. She was thrilled to discover I am a spinner and gave me 3 gallon ziplock bags stuffed with matted cat combings. I have been working on her project off and on, but now she is moving to Kentucky sometime after the 4th of July, and I'm under deadline. 8- .

So I'm spinning like crazy and hope to get it all done by Wed., when she's popping into class.
